HON. ALHAJI ALFA HALILU RECEIVED NEW LEADERSHIP OF IDAH LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL




Yesterday 24th October, 2024, Hon. Alhaji Alfa Halilu, Executive Chairman of Idah Local Government, welcomed the new leadership of the Idah Local Government Legislative Council, led by the Council Clerk, to his office.




The Council Clerk introduced the new leadership, saying, "It is my pleasure to present to you the newly inaugurated leaders of the Idah Local Government Legislative Council. They are committed to serving the people of Idah and working harmoniously with your administration to achieve developmental goals."




Hon. Sule Maminetu, Council Leader, made an address saying, "We pledge to work collaboratively with your administration to ensure effective governance and development in Idah Local Government. We will support initiatives that benefit our constituents and promote the well-being of our community."




Hon. Alhaji Alhaji Halilu  assured the new leadership of his administration's cooperation, stating, "I am committed to working closely with you to drive development and progress in Idah Local Government. Together, we will prioritize the welfare of our people and ensure accountability in governance."


Also present was Hon. Sylvester Ojogbane, the Chief of Staff; Hon. Kebiru Isah, Personal Assistant to the Excecutive Chairman; and Hon. Alhassan Adejoh Ogwu Freeman, the APC Idah Local Government Chairman.


The newly inaugurated leaders are:

1. Council Leader: Hon. Sule Maminetu (Ogegele Ward)


2. Deputy Leader: Hon. Muhammed Idachaba O. (Igecheba Ward)


3. Majority Leader: Hon. Abaji Ilyasu (Sabongari Ward)


4. Chief Whip: Hon. Isah Abdullahi (Ede Ward)

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has approved Seventy Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira Minimum Wage  for Kogi Civil Servants with Immediate effect. The Governor also suspended tax burden on the approved sum for one year. Governor Ododo made this known during the unavailing of the 70 thousand Naira minimum wage after  signing the agreement. Governor Ododo said the new Seventy Two Thousand Five hundred Naira minimum wage should take immediate effects to enable the wage cope with the current situation in the country. The Chairman Minimum wage Committee, Mr Elijah Evinemi said the agreement on the minimum wage is not a victory for any political party but for the good of the masses. He appreciated the governor for giving the committee free hand to operate and achieve a common goal.
