New Minimum Wage: Kogi Workers Hails Gov. Ododo For Matching Words With Action

Bashir Opaluwa Idris Civil Servants in Kogi State have expressed appreciation to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo over the payment of New Minimum wage. On Wednesday this week, workers across the state received their October salary with reflection of the approved seventy two thousand, five hundred naira by the Governor. Reacting to the development, the Director Account, Kogi State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman Musa said the payment of the new minimum wage by Governor Ododo has relieved some of their problems. According to him, the development has brought joy to the workers, who have been advocating for a wage adjustment to alleviate the economic hardships they face. Hon. Acharu Okpanachi Cast Her Vote In The Ongoing Council Polls Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Acharu Okpanachi cast her vote in Egah Ward at the ongoing Kogi Council Election.  Speaking after exercising her franchise, Hon. Acharu expressed satisfaction with the large turnout of voters which she attributed to the positive impact of Governor Ododo's administration.  She noted that the governor's achievements in the state have inspired greater participation and support for the ruling party. Gov. Ododo Approves Seventy Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira Minimum Wage for Kogi Workers

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has approved Seventy Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira Minimum Wage  for Kogi Civil Servants with Immediate effect. The Governor also suspended tax burden on the approved sum for one year. Governor Ododo made this known during the unavailing of the 70 thousand Naira minimum wage after  signing the agreement. Governor Ododo said the new Seventy Two Thousand Five hundred Naira minimum wage should take immediate effects to enable the wage cope with the current situation in the country. The Chairman Minimum wage Committee, Mr Elijah Evinemi said the agreement on the minimum wage is not a victory for any political party but for the good of the masses. He appreciated the governor for giving the committee free hand to operate and achieve a common goal.

Bode Ogunmola has praised Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for releasing funds for the restoration of broadcast service to the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Ochaja. Speaking with journalists shortly after the house plenary, Hon. Ogunmola appreciated Governor Ododo for matching his words with action by directing the State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo on the need for total overhauling of State owned media outfits  that it will help restore broadcast services to the region.
