HON. ALHAJI ALFA HALILU RESUMES OFFICE AS IDAH LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN


Hon. Alhaji Alfa Halilu has officially resumed office as the Chairman of Idah Local Government, marking the beginning of a new era for the community. He took office at 5 pm yesterday and received the official handover from the Deputy Local Government Director Local Government (DLG).


This significant event is expected to bring positive change and progress to Idah Local Government, with Hon. Alhaji Alfa Halilu's leadership focused on improving the lives of citizens. As a seasoned and loyal politician, Alhaji Halilu is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear on this new role, having previously served as Special Assistant and Senior Special Assistant to two former Kogi State Governors. 



"I am committed to delivering on my campaign promises and working tirelessly to address infrastructure gaps, enhance healthcare, education, and economic opportunities for the people of Idah Local Government." said Hon. Alfa

The Governor also suspended tax burden on the approved sum for one year. Governor Ododo made this known during the unavailing of the 70 thousand Naira minimum wage after  signing the agreement. Governor Ododo said the new Seventy Two Thousand Five hundred Naira minimum wage should take immediate effects to enable the wage cope with the current situation in the country. The Chairman Minimum wage Committee, Mr Elijah Evinemi said the agreement on the minimum wage is not a victory for any political party but for the good of the masses. He appreciated the governor for giving the committee free hand to operate and achieve a common goal.
