Minster of Steel Development, SA To The President On Energy Meets With Management Of ALSCON On Revival Of Aluminium Plant

In furtherance of the directives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR towards the revival of the Aluminium Smelter Company of Nigeria (ALSCON), the Honourable Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, and the Special Adviser to the President on Energy, Mrs. Olu Verheijen, met with the management of ALSCON at the Minister’s office on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

The crux of the meeting was the resolution of the legal impasse concerning ALSCON, natural gas supply, and the issue of gas pricing for the operationalization of the Aluminium plant.

Prince Audu reiterated the commitment of the ‘Renewed Hope’ Agenda of President Tinubu to reviving the steel and metals sector and resuscitating every moribund steel and metals plant in the country, noting that all issues regarding ALSCON would be resolved to commence operations within the shortest time possible.

Aguma Bassa To Support BCDU In Promoting Cultural Heritage

Chief Keke gave the assurance when National Executives of Bassa Cultural Development Union paid him a traditional homage at Oguma.
