Ahead of the planned nationwide protest against hardship and bad governance by Youths on August 1st, the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Youth Mobilization, Hon. Ali Abdulkadir Arome has urged citizens to shun the protest saying some unpatriotic elements have perfected plans to hijack the process to destabilize the country.

Hon. Abdulkadir in a statement, warned that if things get out of hand it would be difficult for the country to recover.

He urged Nigerians to learn from what happened during the #EndSARS protest where some terrorist groups hid under the cover of Nigerian youths to steal and destroy properties.

The SSA called for more diplomatic means of addressing grievances; rather than resorting to street protests which may blow up the nation.

According to him, instead of taking to the street for protest, the youths should channel their energy towards ventures that will unite and build a greater Nigeria.

Hon. Abdulkadir emphasized that no Nation can attained greatness without the youths coming together to compliment the efforts of their leaders, saying the present administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is working hard to fix the country.

The SSA added that Kogi State Government under the leadership of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has made significant progress in empowering Youths in the State, hence the need to shun the protest and support him to succeed.
