Gov. Ododo Receives Over One Thousand Corps Members Posted To Kogi State

One thousand, five hundred and thirty Corps members have been deployed to Kogi State for Twenty Twenty Four Batch B Stream Two National Youth Service Corps 


Addressing the Corps Members during the Swearing in Ceremony at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Asaya, Kabba, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in a message charged the corps members to fulfil the hope and aspiration of their Father Land.



Represented by the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday Anyebe, the Governor advised them to contribute immensely to the growth and development of the state and country.


The Governor enjoined them to also promote National unity and integration during the scheme as a viable tool for the implementation of critical National development Programmes.



According to the Governor, the orientation programme is specially designed to instil in their leadership qualities such as perseverance, discipline endurance and team work during and after their service year in the state.



The Governor congratulated the Corps members on the successful completion of their educational endeavors from their various institutions of leaning in Nigeria and the Diaspora.


Earlier, Kogi State Coordinator of NYSC, Mr. Femi Osungbobun advised the Corps members to adhere to the rules and regulations of the camp, saying the NYSC would not tolerate indiscipline.

 


Mr Osungbobun expressed appreciation to the State Governor for his commitment to the welfare of Corps members in the state.


He appealed to the State Government not to relent in its efforts by considering the completion of perimeter fencing of the camp for safety of the Corps members and staff.
