Hon. Audu Yunusa Imadi Advocates Effective Agriculture For Poverty Reduction

An agriculturist, Hon. Audu Yunusa Imadi says effective Agricultural practice will reduce poverty and hunger in the country.
Hon. Inadi made the remark in an interview with newsmen in Lokoja.
Hon. Imadi who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Dhun-Nun Investment Nigeria Limited, described Kogi State as an agrarian state where investors can come to invest their potential.
According to him, Kogi State is blessed with fertile and arable land suitable for farming of cashew, cassava and palm tree plantation in large scale capable of feeding the Country and indeed the world.
Hon. Imadi noted that the present administration's effort in the provision of tractors, fertilizers and other farm inputs to farmers in the state will boost food sufficiency.
While describing the laudable achievements of the present administration in agriculture as commendable, Hon. Imadi urged farmers in the state to utilize the opportunity by increasing their produce.
The Agriculturist commended the State Commissioner of Agriculture, Mr Timothy Ojoma for working tirelessly to ensure that Kogi farmers are given sense of belonging.
"Well in terms of agriculture, you see so many investors coming to Kogi State because of the agrarian nature of the state. Our soil is good enough for farming and Kogi is peaceful for farm work. The drought not withstanding, people are available to farm cassava, cashew and palm tree in large scale that will make Kogi State to feed Nigeria and indeed the world".
Hon. Imadi who is also a stakeholder of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and former House of Assembly Aspirant for Okura constituency in Dekina Local Government Area appealed to the people of the State to vote massively for the APC in the forthcoming council election.
