Kogi AG Commends APC, SIEC for Successful Conduct of Local Government Primaries

The Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko has commended the leadership of Kogi State All Progressives Congress (APC) and the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) for the successful conduct of the just concluded council primary election across the State.
Hajia Habibat Onumoko in a statement in Okene further commended the state government for providing adequate security and the APC for providing a level playing ground for all aspirants during the exercise.
She said the commendable achievements sets a bench mark for political parties in the state, reinstating APC's position as a champion of democracy.
The AG said the exercise was characterized by transparency, fairness, and credibility, noting that it's a testament to the party's commitment to democratic principles and internal democracy.
According to her, the party has shown leadership and true commitment to building a solid Democratic foundation that will strengthen electioneering process in the state.
She hailed the State Electoral body, KOSIEC's for their professionalism, efficiency, and impartiality in managing the electoral process.
While congratulating the Local Government Chairmen and Ward Councillorship candidates of the party, she said, "I offer my heartfelt congratulations to those who emerge as winners of the local government and ward primary elections in the 21 local government areas of the state."
"I urge all of you to focus on activities that will strengthen the party's unity and cohesion."
"Congratulations once again as I wish all of you success in the October 19 local government election in the state."
