Kogi Council Poll: Supporters Welcome Idah APC Chairmanship Candidate After Screening

Stakeholders and supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairmanship Candidate in Idah Local Government, Hon. Alhaji Halilu Alhaji, on Friday, thronged the Okpachala-Idah road, to welcome him on his return to the Area after his successful nomination and screening to run for the forthcoming Council Poll.

The All Progressive Congress had on Thursday 1st August, 2024 given the party Chairmanship ticket to Hon. Alhaji Halilu Alhaji for the October 19th local council election.

Addressing the mammoth crowd of party supporters, an All Progressive Congress Governorship Aspirant in the 2023 Kogi State Governorship election, Alhaji Friday Abdullahi Idachaba assured the party faithfuls that the Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Alhaji Halilu Alhaji will never disappoint the people if elected.

According to him, the Chairmanship candidate, who was the immediate past Secretary of Idah Transition Committee had followed policies and programmes of the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and would ensure protection of lives and property.

Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Acharu Okpanachi who described Hon. Alhaji Alhaji as a loyal and passionate man, urged the people to vote him in the forthcoming council poll to enable him emerge victorious.

The Special Adviser to former Governor Yahaya Bello, Hon. Haruna Idoko Musa assured the people that Hon. Alhaji Alhaji was prepared for the task of governance.

On his part, the Special Adviser on Security for Idah Federal Constituency to the Governor, Alhaji Abuh Odoma said the people of Idah are eager to vote for all candidates of the party as it was the only party known to them with the most credible candidates in the elective positions.

Chairman of Idah APC, Hon. Alhassan Adejoh lauded the people’s commitment to the party and enjoined them to vote massively for the party’s candidates who were people of proven leadership antecedents.

Earlier in his remark, the APC Chairmanship candidate of Idah Local Government, Hon. Alhaji Halilu Alhaji expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Deputy Governor, Comr Joel Salifu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Ali Atimpo Bello and all other critical stakeholders for the trust placed in him and pledged to serve the people of Idah Local Government with dedication and integrity if elected.

The Chairmanship Candidate later proceeded to the Idah APC Secretariat and his residence for a warm reception.

He was accompanied by the All Progressive Congress Governorship Aspirant in the 2023 Kogi State Governorship election, Alhaji Friday Abdullahi Idachaba, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Acharu Okpanachi, Special Adviser to former Governor Yahaya Bello, Hon. Haruna Idoko Musa, Special Adviser on Security for Idah Federal Constituency to the Governor, Alhaji Abuh Odoma, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Hon. Meyanga Abdul, APC Vice Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Nefisat Oseni, APC Idah Chairman, Hon. Alhassan Adejoh, the ten Ward Councillorship candidates, including party stalwarts.
