Kogites Are Happy With You, Idah APC Vice Chairmanship Candidate Hails Gov Ododo Over Supreme Court Victory

The All Progressive Congress Idah Vice Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Nefisat Hussein has congratulated Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on the judgment of the Supreme Court which upheld his victory in the November 11, 2023 governorship election in the state.


Hon. Nefisat in a statement on Friday, August 23, 2024 said the victory did not come as a surprise as the Governor is very popular with Kogites.


The Vice Chairmanship candidate described the Supreme Court Judgment as a victory for democracy and the decisive triumph of the will of the people of Kogi State in their determination to preserve good governance in the state.


According to her, the victory at the apex court has laid to rest the legal battles that added to the distractions Governor Ododo's administration grappled with in the last eight months.


Hon. Nefisat commended the Supreme Court, stating that it has again demonstrated the fact that it remains a beacon of hope for the people and democracy in Nigeria.


“On behalf of my family, I heartily rejoice and congratulate our beloved and indefatigable Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, His Deputy, His Excellency, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo, our great party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) and indeed, the good people of Idah and Kogi State in general.


“I sincerely appreciate Almighty Allah for this auspicious day. This Supreme Court victory is no doubt a victory for all of us, a victory for democracy, and a victory for the people of Kogi State,” Hon. Nefisat stated.


While appreciating the immediate past Governor of the State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the people of the State for their support and cooperation to the present administration in the State, Hon. Nefisat noted that the giant strides already being undertaken by the Ododo led administration is further repositioning the State for higher productivity and development.


The Vice Chairmanship Candidate called on opposition parties and aggrieved politicians in the State to accept the verdict in good faith and join hands with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to ensure the overall development of Kogi State.
