Olamaboro Local Government Student Body Declares Support For Gov Ododo


National President of Olamaboro Students Association, Comrade Shaibu Sunday, has praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his efforts in promoting programmes and policies of Youths in the state.

Comrade Shaibu made the remark when he led the National Executive's of the Student body on a familiarization visit to the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday Anyebe in his office in Lokoja.

The Student leader said the efforts of the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is commendable especially in the area of youth empowerment and Sporting activities in the state.

According to Comrade Shaibu there were in the Commissioner's office to declare their total support and loyalty to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his support so far to youths in the state.

Comrade Shaibu noted that the Governor has so far demonstrated that he is youth friendly hence the need to support him for the progress of the State.

He expressed appreciation to the Governor for appointing Hon. Monday Anyebe as Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development.

Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Affairs, Mr. Isah Emmanuel called on youths in Olamaboro and the state in general to support the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for more dividends of democracy.

Mr. Emmanuel commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for approving the payment of bursary for Kogi State Students.

Responding, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday Anyebe described their visit as timely, saying he is particularly happy that they from his area.

Hon. Anyebe noted that the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has done well for Youth emancipation and  empowerment.

According to the Commissioner, the Governor has total passion for Youth development and progress.

The Commissioner assured the Student body of his commitment and promised to look into their various request, adding that the Government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo will carry them along in his scheme of things.

Gov. Ododo Approves Seventy Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira Minimum Wage for Kogi Workers

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has approved Seventy Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira Minimum Wage  for Kogi Civil Servants with Immediate effect. The Governor also suspended tax burden on the approved sum for one year. Governor Ododo made this known during the unavailing of the 70 thousand Naira minimum wage after  signing the agreement. Governor Ododo said the new Seventy Two Thousand Five hundred Naira minimum wage should take immediate effects to enable the wage cope with the current situation in the country. The Chairman Minimum wage Committee, Mr Elijah Evinemi said the agreement on the minimum wage is not a victory for any political party but for the good of the masses. He appreciated the governor for giving the committee free hand to operate and achieve a common goal.
