Kogi State House of Assembly has congratulated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on his victory at the Supreme Court.

In a statement signed by Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Publicity and Strategy, Prince Bode Ogunmola, it described the victory as a win-win for the people of the state irrespective of political leaning.

The statement further noted that given the outcome of the case, it is obvious that it is a case of no victor, no vanquisher.

The statement appealed to all political actors irrespective of their political beliefs, to close ranks, put the issues behind and be ready to contribute their quota to the development of the state.

It noted further that, "with the ruling of the Apex Court, it is obvious that everything about the November 11, 2023 Governorship Election has been dusted. What remains is real governance.

"We expect and encourage everyone to team up with the Governor to drive the vision of the founding fathers of the state for a viable, peaceful, united and prosperous Kogi State.

"The healing process should start now. The Governorship position is one and only one person can occupy it at a given time. This is why we are appealing that we all join hands with the Governor to ensure that our state experiences development in all spheres."

The statement while praying for God to grant the Governor good health, wisdom and the wherewithal to fulfil his electoral promises, pledge to continue to work and support the Governor to deliver on his mandate.
