High Chief Daruwana Praises Gov. Ododo For Providing Fertiliser To Bassa Farmers

Kogi State Government has been commended for the provision of fertilizers to farmers in Bassa Local Government Area.


A stakeholder in the Area, High Chief Daniel Daruwana gave the commendation while speaking with Newsmen in Lokoja.


High Chief Daruwana said the provision of fertilizers will ensure massive food production in the Area, stressing that the people of Bassa Local Government Area are predominantly farmers.


According to him, the Area is blessed with fertile land capable of feeding the state.


High Chief Daniel Daruwana also praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the construction of Oguma Sheria Bridge which according to him will improve commercial activities in the area.


The stakeholder use the occasion to appeal to the State Governor to construct Sheria, Kpanche Ikende road to ease rhe plight of residence of communities within the area.


While describing Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu as detribalised leaders, High Chief Daruwana commend the Governor for prioritising workers welfare which is evident in the prompt payment of salaries and pensions.


He appealed to the Governor to continue in his guest to deliver good governance and expressed confidence that twenty, twenty seven will be a work over for him.


On the forthcoming Council election in the area, the stakeholder called on the people of Bassa Local Government Area to vote massively for the Chairmanship Candidate of All progressive Congress, Hon. Theophilus Daruwana Adama.


According to him, Hon. Theophilus Daruwana Adama has shown capacity in providing basic amenities to the people of the area during his administration as Transition Committee Chairman of Bassa Local Government.
