Council Poll: KOSIEC Begins Grassroots Sensitisation

Following the first stakeholders' meeting and the announcement of the timetable for the Kogi State local government election in Lokoja, the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) has launched a grassroots sensitisation campaign across the state. The Commission began its sensitisation efforts with a visit to the palace of the Attah of Igala Kingdom, HRM Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa II, on Tuesday. The paramount ruler offered his blessings for a successful election. Subsequently, KOSIEC held a town hall meeting with stakeholders from the nine Local Government Areas in the Eastern Senatorial District of the state. In a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, says Mrs. Walson-Jack was appointed as Federal Permanent Secretary in 2017, and has served in several Ministries.
